Spangler’s Greenhouse seeks to nourish the hearts, bodies, and minds of our neighbors and friends by providing organically grown produce to our local food economy. We strive to maintain best practices by joining our historical roots with modern farming techniques. It is our hope to improve the mental and physical well-being of our community by supporting educational and research endeavors that further the availability of healthy local food.
Spangler’s Greenhouse is operated by Johnny Spangler in Ballard, WV. Well known for his home grown popcorn, Johnny’s homemade kettle corn is a standby at festivals and events all over southeast WV and beyond. When he’s not tending his corn or polishing his copper kettle, Johnny is busy growing and selling a variety of seasonal produce marketed through farmers markets and local food establishments and events.
Saturdays, 8 am – 1 pm (April – October)
Wednesdays, 1 pm - 6 pm (June – October)
